WKC to host annual dinner concert

WKC to host annual dinner concert The West Kortright Centre will present its annual Gala Dance Under the Stars at 7 p.m. Saturday, featuring Ginkgoa, a French/ American "electro-swing" band. Ginkgoa's "vintage swinginfused electronic music blends influences, languages, eras, and styles to create irresistibly danceable songs," according to a media release. The band includes singer Nicolle . Rochelle; composer, guitarist and producer Antoine Chatenet; drummer Gregory D'Addario; bassist Anne-Colombe Martin; and clarinetist/keyboardist Corentin Giniaux. Ginkgoa was chosen to appear at the NYC 2016 globalFEST and has since been building an international, career with a tour of over 300 dates around the U.S., Canada, China, France, Eastern Europe, U.K. and Italy, according to the release. A tamale picnic dinner fundraiser will be served from 7 to 8 p.m. Picnic dinners are $16 and must be pre-ordered. Vegetarian options are available. The music will start at 8 p.m. The dinner and dance will take place, rain or shine, under a large tent. Those attending should bring their own lawn seating. General admission tickets are $25 in advance and $28 the day of the show. Tickets for WKC members are $22 in advance and $25 Ginkgoa the day of the show. Tickets for those younger than 19 are $11. Tickets are available online until 8 p.m. Fridayand on-site at the ticket booth, starting at 7 p.m. Saturday. The West Kortright Centre is at Contributed 49 W.
